Make cycle counting a scheduled background process

Corvus One runs inventory missions without a pilot following the drone. Teams receive discrepancies to investigate instead of manually visiting every reserve location.

Task performance

Check visible stock and empty positions

The system reads barcodes and supports occupancy and suitable case-counting checks. It cannot see through the front item into a multiple-deep location.

Daily operation

Keep evidence with each discrepancy

Location-linked photos, video and scan history help teams investigate missing stock, unreadable labels and incorrect placement. Inventory data can stay on premises or use the optional cloud-hosting service.

Site fit

Scan without relying on warehouse Wi-Fi for flight

Autonomous flights run without warehouse Wi-Fi, navigation stickers or reflectors. The landing pad needs one power connection and one Ethernet connection.

Connected systems

Compare observations with the WMS

API connections and file imports compare observed stock with expected warehouse locations. Corvus AIMS brings scan history and discrepancies together for the inventory team.

Will it work at your site?

Indoor

Access & operating limits

Scan scope
Accessible, visible rack locations with readable labels; hidden stock needs a different verification method.
Flight layout
The project maps the top and bottom scan locations, ceiling and beam obstructions, clear flight corridors and the landing-pad approach. No universal height or aisle-clearance guarantee is implied.
Docking
Provide power and Ethernet at the landing pad.
Operation
Set a target count frequency and assess complete missions, charging and traffic together. Workers should wait for the drone to finish in an aisle before entering.
Cold storage
Use the separate Cold Chain configuration for freezer operation.

Configure flight routes, scan targets, docking and inventory-data exchange for the warehouse. Labels and safe aisle operation are validated before deployment.

Integrations and compatibility.

Manufacturer-documented connections and compatible equipment. Building interfaces are checked against your installation.

01

Corvus API and data import/export

Exchange expected locations and stock data with the WMS, then review scan discrepancies.

02

Corvus AIMS

Inventory history and reporting for drone scans; the separate Trident system can add forklift-movement tracking.

Before you decide.

Can it count stock behind another pallet?

Optical checks need a visible label or item. Single-deep case counting and suitable bulk storage can be included; hidden stock in multiple-deep locations needs another verification method.

Can it work in a freezer?

Freezer operation uses the separate Corvus One Cold Chain configuration, selected for the storage temperature.

What warehouse size is it designed for?

Corvus positions the system for large facilities, typically 100,000 sq ft and above. Rack locations, count frequency and current audit effort determine the business case.

What is a useful scan-cycle reference?

Corvus reports that Staci's deployed system scans thousands of pallet positions during a 6–8-hour lights-out window, with discrepancy reports ready before morning. This is a fleet/site example, not a per-drone hourly rating or a guaranteed result for another warehouse.
