Commercial cleaning robots

Commercial cleaning robots for your site.

Compare autonomous sweepers, scrubbers, vacuums and multi-mode floor-care robots by the conditions that matter on site: floor type, area, debris, passage width and operating schedule.

Selection logic

Start with the site, not the robot.

A good shortlist begins with the route and the cleaning result. A large machine can be wrong for a narrow retail aisle; a compact scrubber can be wrong for dry debris across a warehouse.

01
Autonomous floor scrubber working across a large warehouse floor

Area and shift

Estimate the cleanable floor area, available operating window and charging opportunities.

02

Cleaning mode

Separate dry sweeping, scrubbing, vacuuming and mixed-floor requirements before comparing output.

03

Route constraints

Check the narrowest passage, ramps, thresholds, lifts and the amount of mixed human traffic.

04

Service model

Decide whether the site needs ownership, a short pilot, a long rental or a managed RaaS deployment.

Find the starting point

What kind of site are you cleaning?

Retail & hospitality

Prioritise compact dimensions and mixed-floor capability.

Start with passages, floor transitions and when the robot can work around guests or shoppers. Output alone is not enough.

Operator-led or robotic cleaning?

Compare the same floor, cleaning standard and available shift. The right choice depends on the route and staff workload, not just the machine’s advertised coverage.

ApproachWhen it may fitWork that remains
Scrubber with an operatorA trained operator needs to respond to changing tasks, obstacles or layouts throughout the shift.Driving the machine, preparing the area, refilling, draining and cleaning the equipment.
Robotic floor cleaningRepeat floor routes can be planned and the site provides suitable access, charging and any required water handling.Preparing the route, handling exceptions, caring for the machine and cleaning areas outside its reach. Stations automate only the functions specified for that configuration.
A combined cleaning planOpen routes suit a robot while edges, stairs, restrooms or detailed tasks still need people and other equipment.Assigning the remaining tasks and checking the combined result against one cleaning standard.

Rent the process you need to test.

For floor cleaning machine rental, agree the floor task, attachments, staff responsibilities and service scope first. A short-term trial should show accepted coverage and total staff time, including setup and rework, before you commit to a longer deployment.

Compare the approaches

Choose a robot by floor, area and cleaning task

ApproachThe jobWhat to establish
Scrubbing ↗Wet cleaning of suitable hard floors.Floor finish, detergent, water supply and dirty-water disposal.
Sweeping ↗Dry debris collection over larger routes.Debris size, dust control, bin emptying and edge coverage.
Vacuuming ↗Dry floor or carpet care with the correct assembly.Carpet type, pickup performance, filtration and consumables.

In a hotel, check noise and guest access. In a shop, test around displays and customers. In a warehouse, include dust, pallet debris and mixed traffic. Compare measured coverage during the available shift; spot-cleaning and full-area ratings describe different jobs.

What affects the cost of a commercial cleaning robot?

The robot is one part of the quote. Compare the cleaning assembly, charging or water station, site preparation, consumables, training and maintenance. Purchase, daily rental, monthly rental and RaaS spread these costs differently. Agree the same cleaning task and service scope before comparing proposals.

How we plan a robotics project ↗

Commercial options

Use the same shortlist. Change how you deploy it.

01

Purchase

Own the equipment. Configuration and project scope are confirmed in the quote.

02

Short-term rent

Priced per day for a defined period. Dates, minimum term and availability are confirmed in the quote.

03

Long-term rent

A monthly model for ongoing operation, with the equipment and support scope defined in the proposal.

04

RaaS

A managed monthly model covering the robot, deployment, monitoring, maintenance and agreed service scope.

Before you choose

The questions that change the shortlist.

Which commercial cleaning robot fits mixed floors?

Start with a multi-mode robot that supports the actual floor finishes on site. Then check its minimum passage, tank capacity and runtime against the route. PUDU CC1, PUDU CC1 Pro and Gausium Phantas are useful starting points for mixed commercial floors.

When is a sweeper better than a scrubber?

Use a sweeper where the primary problem is dry debris across large hard-floor areas. Use a scrubber where wet cleaning and soil removal are the main result. Some facilities need both tasks, either in one platform or as separate routes.

Can we test a robot before a long deployment?

Yes. Short-term rental can be used for a defined assessment or pilot when a suitable unit is available. The site survey should set the route, success criteria, dates and operator responsibilities before the test starts.

What should be checked during a site survey?

Measure passages, thresholds, ramps and lift access; record floor finishes and debris; confirm Wi-Fi and charging location; map pedestrian and vehicle traffic; and agree when the robot can operate.
