Quadruped robot dogs · Saudi Arabia & MENA

Quadruped robot dogs for inspection and research.

An inspection robot dog is a platform plus a sensing and reporting workflow. A research quadruped and an inspection-ready system should not be compared on platform price alone.

The application

What needs to get done?

Start with the workflow. These are different applications, not a ranking of interchangeable robots.

Selection logic

Four checks before the shortlist.

  1. Actual terrain

Record steps, slopes, gaps, grates and the surfaces along the route.

  2. Useful payload

Allow for the sensor, mounting, power and communication package.

  3. Operating conditions

Check temperature, ingress protection and any site-specific hazardous-area requirements.

  4. Control and data

Define teleoperation, route autonomy, connectivity and where inspection results are stored.

Your site. One project.

Specify the robot, sensors and inspection route together.

Share the route, readings required and the conditions in which it must operate.

Inspection platform or research robot?

ApproachThe jobWhat to establish
Research platform ↗Locomotion, perception or control development.Edition, software access and required supervision.
Visual or thermal inspection ↗Collect a defined observation along a planned route.Compatible camera, detection target and reporting workflow.
Mapping and surveying ↗Acquire the required spatial data.Compatible LiDAR or other payload, calibration and output format.

Check stairs, surfaces, weather exposure, communications and recovery access. Environmental ratings, hazardous-area suitability and autonomous analytics are model-specific. Include payloads, mounts, software and route setup when comparing the cost of an inspection system.

What turns a quadruped into an inspection system?

Define the asset, observation and action first. Then specify a compatible sensor, route, data collection, review process and acceptance test. Agree who supervises the robot and what happens when it cannot complete the route.

How we plan a robotics project ↗

Four ways to deploy

Choose the model. Then the terms.

All four options can be requested. Configuration, availability, minimum term and service scope are confirmed in your quote.

01

PurchaseEquipment ownership

Own the equipment. The quote defines configuration, deployment and the service package.

02

Short-term rentPriced per day

Use a robot for an agreed period. Confirm dates, availability, minimum term and setup costs before booking.

03

Long-term rentPriced per month

Plan for ongoing operation. Equipment, contract term, maintenance and responsibilities belong in the proposal.

04

RaaSManaged monthly model

Combine the robot with deployment and an agreed operating and service scope. Define monitoring, maintenance and performance measures for your site.

Before you choose

Questions worth asking.

Is every robot dog an inspection robot?

No. A research or demonstration platform may not include industrial sensors, data software or the required environmental rating.

Does water resistance mean hazardous-area approval?

No. Ingress protection and hazardous-area certification address different risks. Verify the exact certification required at your site.

Can we add thermal or other sensors?

That depends on mechanical payload, power, interfaces and software support. Treat the complete sensor package as part of the configuration to validate.
