Welding & palletizing · Saudi Arabia & MENA

Robotic welding and palletizing cells for production.

A production cell combines the robot with a process. Welding, palletizing and machine tending need different input data, tooling and acceptance tests.

The application

What needs to get done?

Start with the workflow. These are different applications, not a ranking of interchangeable robots.

Selection logic

Four checks before the shortlist.

  1. Representative parts

Use real parts and variation, not an ideal sample alone.

  2. Tool and fixture

Define gripping, clamping or torch access and required changeovers.

  3. Whole cycle

Include loading, robot motion, process time, inspection and unloading.

  4. Acceptance and safety

Agree quality, throughput, safeguards and fault recovery for the complete cell.

Your site. One project.

Scope an application cell with a measurable result.

Send part drawings, the process, current cycle and quality requirements.

Compare the approaches

Choose a welding, palletizing or machine-tending cell

ApproachThe jobWhat to establish
Welding ↗Repeat specified welds on prepared parts.Material, thickness, joint geometry, fixtures and quality samples.
Palletizing ↗Build a defined stack from repeatable loads.Box size and weight, layer pattern, pallet size and peak rate.
Machine tending ↗Load and unload a specific machine process.Part presentation, door and chuck interfaces, cycle and faults.

Compare complete cell cost: arm, tooling, process equipment, fixtures, guarding, controls, programming and commissioning. Test representative parts or loads and agree how quality, cycle time and exception recovery will be accepted.

What is needed for a production cell quotation?

For welding, provide drawings, materials and weld requirements. For palletizing, provide the loads, stack pattern and rate. For machine tending, provide the machine and part sequence. In each case, define the site interfaces and test samples; an arm price alone does not describe the installed cell.

How we plan a robotics project ↗

Four ways to deploy

Choose the model. Then the terms.

All four options can be requested. Configuration, availability, minimum term and service scope are confirmed in your quote.

01

PurchaseEquipment ownership

Own the equipment. The quote defines configuration, deployment and the service package.

02

Short-term rentPriced per day

Use a robot for an agreed period. Confirm dates, availability, minimum term and setup costs before booking.

03

Long-term rentPriced per month

Plan for ongoing operation. Equipment, contract term, maintenance and responsibilities belong in the proposal.

04

RaaSManaged monthly model

Combine the robot with deployment and an agreed operating and service scope. Define monitoring, maintenance and performance measures for your site.

Before you choose

Questions worth asking.

Is the cell a fixed off-the-shelf configuration?

These are application packages scoped to the task. The final arm, tooling, fixtures, controls and safeguards are defined in the proposal.

Does the arm payload equal the carton weight?

No. Tooling and other loads must be included, and the operating poses matter. The whole application needs validation.

Can you guarantee cycle time from a video?

A video can illustrate an application, not establish your cycle time. Validate with representative parts, the intended layout and agreed acceptance conditions.
