What it does for your operation

In your operation

Automate repeated carton unloading

Stretch transfers floor-loaded cartons from trailers and containers to a conveyor. It takes on the repeated lifting at the inbound dock while staff manage the wider receiving process.

Task performance

Handle mixed cases without a fixed stack pattern

The vision system identifies cases in varied sizes and stack arrangements. The vacuum gripper handles suitable cardboard cases up to 50 lb, approximately 23 kg.

Recovery of a dropped case: Stretch reaches down with its vacuum gripper to pick a box from the trailer floor.
Daily operation

Recover when the stack changes during unloading

The robot can detect and retrieve boxes that shift or fall during the task. This helps the unload continue through changes that otherwise interrupt a fixed sequence.

Site fit

Connect unloading to the takeaway conveyor

Match dock access, trailer position and conveyor capacity to the unloading workflow. Compatible telescopic conveyors extend and retract with the robot as unloading progresses.

Configuration

Match cases to the gripper

Eligible packages are rectangular cardboard boxes with taped or glued flaps. Case faces range from approximately 15 to 91 cm; packaging condition and the gripping surface also affect suitability.

Access & operating limits

Dock and trailer
Validate access, dock transitions and floor loading for the robot.
Cases
Test case dimensions, weight, packaging condition and gripping surfaces.
Handover
Provide a compatible conveyor and clear downstream handling route.

The unloading setup includes a robot position, compatible conveyor handover and a validated carton range. Dock access and floor loading are checked before deployment.

Before you decide.

Which packages can Stretch handle?

It handles suitable rectangular cardboard cases within its weight and size limits. Test the actual package surfaces, damage levels and loading patterns before setting the unload plan.

What determines the unloading rate?

The stated range is 600–800 cases per hour. Box mix, packing pattern and downstream conveyor flow affect the result, so use a representative unload test for planning.
