PuduBot 2 in action

In your operation

Take routine carrying off the team's walking route

PuduBot 2 moves items between mapped points, with delivery, cruise and dish-return modes. Staff still prepare the load and complete the hand-off at each end.

Task performance

Configure the trays around your load

The standard arrangement has three 520 × 435 mm trays; supported layouts can add trays, up to seven as advertised by PUDU. The robot carries 40 kg total. Its operating guide distinguishes a 10 kg rated working load from the 13 kg maximum per level; adding levels does not raise the total.

Site fit

Map the layout without ceiling markers

PUDU VSLAM+ supports markerless deployment, including high-ceiling interiors. The published 80 cm passage requirement must be checked against the loaded configuration and real traffic.

Suspended chassis design supports stable delivery.
Safety & sensing

Keep the load stable around obstacles

Dual LiDAR sensing and the suspension chassis support obstacle awareness and stable travel. Test the route with the actual contents, especially drinks or items that can slide.

Daily operation

Plan deliveries and charging around the shift

The April 2025 brochure lists 15 hours without load and approximately four hours charging. This is a reference condition, not a guaranteed service shift. Compatible watches, pagers and PUDU Link support calling and task management.

Will it work at your site?

Access & operating limits

Site planning
Check route width, turns, table clearance and load centre of gravity. Open trays do not secure valuables or protect unsealed contents. Staff handle loading and collection; a pilot should include busy service periods and the return-to-charge workflow.

Three trays are standard; PUDU advertises layouts up to seven. The 2025 brochure supplies the 520 × 435 mm tray and 15 h unloaded / 4 h charging reference. Spacing changes with the layout. The indicative budget is for the model, not a verified battery revision or accessories bundle.

Before you decide.

What is the carrying capacity?

The robot carries 40 kg total. Each tray is limited to 13 kg maximum; PUDU’s operating guide gives 10 kg as the rated working load per level. Distribute weight across the installed trays without exceeding either limit.

How narrow can the route be?

Minimum passage width is 80 cm. Turns and shared routes need additional room; the operating guide recommends more than 2 m for two robots passing head-on.

Will it load or clear tables itself?

No. Staff load the trays and remove items at the destination. The robot transports them between stops.

What runtime does this page use?

The April 2025 PUDU brochure states 15 hours without load and approximately four hours charging. Older manuals describe other battery specifications; their figures are not merged into this reference.
